A Community Poker Run Fuels Local Trail Improvement
We were honored to once again partner with the Westmoreland Yough Trail Chapter (WYTC) for their annual Poker Run fundraiser. This incredible event brought together walkers, runners, and cyclists on the scenic Great Allegheny Passage to support the local organization that works tirelessly to maintain it.
Kenny Ross Subaru was thrilled to add an extra touch of hospitality to the event. We set up a station along the route, where our team passed out complimentary snacks and bottled water to all participants. The support was warmly received by everyone who was taking part in the trek, and our team was happy to provide some much-needed refreshments.
Supporting the Hands-On Work
The WYTC plays an essential role in maintaining this beautiful portion of the Great Allegheny Passage. This dedicated group of volunteers and advocates are the ones who ensure the trail is safe, accessible, and enjoyable for all. Fundraisers like the Poker Run are crucial, as the funds raised go directly toward local trail maintenance and improvements.
The Poker Run invited participants to travel at their own pace—whether walking, running, or biking—while collecting playing cards at designated stops. At the finish line, the best hands won prizes, but everyone left with the satisfaction of contributing to the ongoing care of the community trail.
Kenny Ross Cares is proud to be a part of this community. Our partnership with the WYTC highlights the importance of supporting local nonprofits and outdoor recreation.
Way to go, WYTC!
We’re inspired by your hard work and commitment to our local trails. We can’t wait to see you at the next event.
