Recently, our team took that pledge to the streets—specifically to Simeral Square in West Newton.
Revitalizing a Community Cornerstone
Located right near the bridge, Simeral Square is a small but vital green space. It’s a place where neighbors catch up, travelers take a break, and residents enjoy a moment of peace. Recognizing how important clean public spaces are for the spirit of a town, a group of dedicated Kenny Ross Subaru employees traded their office gear for work gloves to give the park some much-needed TLC.
A Day of Hard Work and Transformation
Our team didn’t just show up; they got to work! Throughout the day, our volunteers focused on restoring the natural beauty and functionality of the square:
- Landscaping: We pulled weeds and trimmed back overgrown bushes to let the garden beds shine again.
- Restoration: Using pressure washers, we cleared away the grime from park benches, restoring them to their original, welcoming state.
- New Comforts: We assembled and installed three brand-new rocking chairs, providing a perfect spot for visitors to sit back, relax, and enjoy the view of West Newton.
More Than Just Landscaping
This project was about more than just pulling weeds or cleaning benches. It was about investing in the “connective tissue” of our community. When public spaces are cared for, it shows the people who live there that they are valued.
Simeral Square is now cleaner, brighter, and more inviting—a transformation made possible by the teamwork and enthusiasm of our incredible staff.
